On Sunday 8 September, Hasselt’s small ring road and city centre will be transformed into a car-free paradise! Cyclists, walkers, athletes and playing children will be given free rein. The freed-up space will be bustling with art and craft stalls, drinking and eating stands, and cosy corners! Take your bike, scooter, rollator, skates, rollerblades, go-cart … and come and enjoy!
Recycling Campaign
In Belgium, three million mobile phones lie forgotten in a drawer. And yet, 90% of the materials in mobile phones can be recycled (copper, cobalt, silver, gold, etc.). In 2024, Proximus aims to collect and recycle no fewer than 140,000 handsets thanks to its cooperation with Brainscape. Together we prevent new raw material extraction in developing countries.
A warm call to all cycling fans to put their greenest foot forward and participate in the recycling campaign! This is possible at all Proximus Cycling Challenges featured on the calendar and at 6 tours of the Teamleader Crm Classics Tour. Your recycling participation will be rewarded. How? Find out by clicking on the button below.
Health
The organiser advises everyone not to undertake strenuous efforts for which you are not physically prepared. Make wise choices about the distance you want to cover and the pace you want to set for your body.
If you want to perform sports at a high intensity level, you should have yourself checked annually by a (sports) doctor. It is not compulsory to present a medical certificate.
It is up to the athlete to decide how to deal with the information provided during a medical check-up. The organiser bears no responsibility in this respect.
Respect the Highway Code and Cycle Clean
The organisers and police will monitor compliance with the highway code. Violations will be sanctioned. In order not to jeopardise the event, we ask you to respect the traffic rules, not to litter and not to urinate in public. We count on the sportsmanship of all participants.
